Finding Joy …
Dear Friends
As we find ourselves in the last few days of February. I have to confess I have found this winter quite the challenge. That is why, as we went into the winter season last year, I decided to attempt to turn that feeling around a bit.
I subscribed to a course that had been calling to me for a VERY long time. “Journal Therapy Coach” course. When I say calling, I am not sure that is a big enough word. As someone who has always kept a diary/journal, it was the most inevitable route for me to take, but for some reason, I ignored the call and as always if we try to ignore a call, it just gets louder.
I have to say my whole study experience was a sheer joy. To be in this special space learning even more about my favourite subject. Proof to myself that once we allow the fear to shift, the joy can join us.
There was the challenge of digesting and maintaining the information, but I am pleased to say my determination seemed to deal with that. The high and happiness that came when I realised I had passed the course, was so magical.
So, it made me ask myself what brings us Joy and how do we find it?
What would happen if we took some time out to enjoy the things that call to us, even with a busy lifestyle.
What if we turned Joy into our 5 a day, how would it look?
What rituals would we choose to create?
For me, 5 simple “joyful” daily rituals look like this:-
A good sleep.
A nice calm cup of Oat Decaf to start the day.
A card pull from my two beautiful decks.
A mindful walk in nature for an hour.
A few moments with my Gratitude Journal.
What daily rituals bring you joy. Once you start this list you may find that actually you have far more than 5 a day.
I hope you found this an uplifting read.
Until next time.
Stay warm and well.
Jules xx
